Mr. Khaled Jaber

K-2 Culture Keeper
Mr. Jaber proudly joined DLA in August 2017. He graduated from Wright State University and while studying at WSU, he served as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Modern Language Department for 2+ years. As the Culture Coordinator at DLA, he hopes to encourage students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in adherence to the DLA core values, vision, and mission. Mr. Jaber enjoys interacting in positive ways with students, parents, and staff of the DLA community. His goal is to help support and maintain the students’ motivation for learning, through being fully engaged in classrooms and promoting a life-long love of learning. When Mr. Jaber is not at DLA, you can find him at home with his wife and three daughters.
Jeremiah Lewis
Lewis, Jeremiah
Building Substitute Teacher

Mr. Lewis attended Sinclair Community College and received his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.  He also has a B.A. in Organizational Leadership. He has served as a mentor in the inner city group for 17 years, been a youth Pastor and a youth specialist at Omega Baptist Church and Fort McKinley Church.  He loves the flexibility, resources and loving atmosphere of DLA.

Jocelyn Lynn

Building Substitute Teacher

Ms. Lynn has a Bachelors of Science from Wright State University College of Education and Human Services.

She has been working in the Education field for over 2 years and has volunteered with children for over 2 years before working with DLA.

Ms. Lynn is dedicated to making sure our students have a voice and feel that they are important. "I found my passion for working with students at Dayton Leadership Academy and I could not imagine working anywhere else".  

Terry Matthews
Matthews, Terry
3rd-5th Grade Culture Keeper

Mr Matthews graduated from Stivers High School for the Arts. He is certified in Violence Prevention, Youth Specialist, and Rites of Passage.

He has worked with youth for over 15 years and is the founder of Chosen Generation Mentoring Program.

He loves the school culture, friendly environment, and the love for family engagement.
