Roberta Kisker is happy to be back in the Midwest after living 12 years in Maryland.  Born in Detroit, she received her B.A. degree in English Literature from Wheaton College, her M.F.A. from Brandeis University, and a certificate in Shakespeare Performance from the London Academy of Performing Arts.  Ms. Kisker created a one-woman show Shakespearience, which she performed in Chicago, San Francisco, Orlando, Detroit, and New York. Ms. Kisker is married to Scott Kisker, an historical theologian/UMC clergy, and is the grateful mother of 5 children, ages 9-17. She loves bringing her passion for language and story into the classroom. Previously, she taught preaching and scripture reading to graduate student at Drew (NJ) and Wesley(DC) Theological Seminaries for 8 years, as well as Kindermusick for 9 years. She loves the DLA students: They are vibrant and curious! The DLA team of caring and specialized teaches, administration, and staff create a positive learning environment. Her goal as Reading Interventionist is to light a fire of enthusiasm for reading and expressing in each of her student, using literacy to pave the way to high school, college and professional life.

Mrs. Kraft has her Masters in Middle School Teaching.  This is her second year at DLA. She loves the DLA model and how invested the school is in helping students be successful.

Ms. Loney was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Sinclair Community College and then Wright State University for her undergraduate degree. This is her fourth year teaching at DLA and she is very excited for this school year. She loves that DLA holds high expectations and institutes and school culture of joy.  In her free time, she enjoys coaching, playing volleyball, and swimming. She is excited to work with students to help them meet their goals and succeed!

Ms. Mitchell has her Masters in Educational Leadership.  She has been a teacher for 17 years! She enjoys collaborating with the DLA staff and learning new information to assist student learning experiences.


Tracey Weimer

JA Intervention Specialist
Mr. Weimer received his BS in Secondary Education from Indiana University. He is currently attending the University of Dayton in pursuit of a Graduate Degree. He is married, has three grown children, and also has a five month old grandson. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and listening to music.
