To ensure our students are fully prepared for the next grade level, Dayton Leadership Academies provides a FREE four week Summer Launch program for current students in grades K-7. We provide reading and math instruction daily, as well as enrichment classes and weekly field trips.

During our 2023 Summer Launch program, 221 students enrolled and 205 students started the program on June 5.

The Average daily attendance was 87% with a 78% completion rate.

As a result of our 2023 Summer Launch program, student achievement improved:

Reading Achievement

• 88% growth on i-Ready reading assessment

• 100% K-2 student reading groups moved up one reading level

Math Achievement

• 100% growth on i-Ready math assessment

Enrichment

Students enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a variety of enrichment classes each day. DLA staff and community partners instructed classes such as yoga, art and movement, music, entrepreneurship and leadership classes.
