To ensure our students are fully prepared for the next grade level, Dayton Leadership Academies provides a FREE four week Summer Launch program for current students in grades K-7. We provide reading and math instruction daily, as well as enrichment classes and weekly field trips.

During our 2024 Summer Launch program, 248 students enrolled and 202 students started the program on June 3.

The Average daily attendance was 81% with a 88% completion rate.

As a result of our 2024 Summer Launch program, student achievement improved:

Reading: K-7th grade students improved their ELA skills by 26% on the post-assessment.

Math: K-7th grade students improved their Math skills by 23% on the post-assessment.

Enrichment

Students enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a variety of enrichment classes each day. DLA staff and community partners instructed classes such as yoga, art and movement, music, entrepreneurship and leadership classes.
