Our goal in the DLA Health Center is to care for the whole student and promote habits, behaviors and attitudes that will contribute to leading healthy lifestyles. We believe the academic success of our students is strongly related to their health. Here at DLA we strive to educate our students in proper health habits and behaviors. It is critical for for them to understand the role that they play in their own well being. We offer educational information on hygiene, immunizations, healthy diet, exercise, safety, Internet use, bullying, growth, development, drug abuse and much more. We also encourage parent involvement in educating your children on all health related topics.

Standard screenings are also performed such as vision, hearing, and scoliosis. Results and referrals are always obtained quickly and parents are informed. Medications are given here at school when prescribed by a licensed physician and proper forms are completed. We also offer assistance in finding physicians and specialists who can provide care for your children. We are partners with community programs that provide such items as clothing and shoes if necessary. We believe that the healthier our students are, the more they can learn in the classroom!
